VE DAY 75th Anniversary Seats
Friday 8 May 2020 marked 75 years since the guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe. Years of carnage and destruction had come to an end and millions of people took to the streets and pubs to celebrate peace, mourn their loved ones and to hope for the future. These seats were installed on Elfin Walk to commemorate the 75th Anniversary, funded by Councillor Gordon Webb.
Thank you to Blyth Bespoke Fabrication for designing and fabricating the seats in time for the anniversary. They look fantastic and are a lovely tribute to the fallen.
Quayside Seating
Three new Maritime seats were installed on the quayside, take a look below.
See below refurbished seats on Blyth Quayside.
Blyth Town Council are responsible for the inspection and cleansing of approximately 108 seats throughout Blyth. We began our refurbishment plan in early 2019 to bring all of our seats up to standard, and we completed our refurbishment in mid May 2019.
